Youth Social Action - (action/s carried out by a young person that has a beneficial impact on someone else!)

See below for what we're doing in school!
We celebrate International literacy Day. We pay to dress up in costume and the money raised pays for books to be sent to a school in Colombo

On Christmas Lunch day we donate our Xmas lunch money to the local foodbank

Our prefects are a very busy bunch they show visitors around school, help out on a lunchtime, and set a good example! And get to wear the special 'Purple Jumpers'

Our Sports Leaders - train children and run lunchtime and break time sessions on the playground to make sure we all stay fit and healthy

Our School Council are very active - they love fundraising and litter picking around school

Our team of Digital Ambassadors help support children's learning in other year groups and train teachers from other schools.

We sell poppies for Remembrance Day!

We donate food at our Harvest festival for the food Bank

We raise money for Children in Need!

We sing Christmas carols at our local bank to entertain the customers

We raise money for Sport/Comic Relief!

We love helping to take care of our school and local community environment

We send toys to Project Paddington

We raise money to support Water Aid

We dress up as our favourite story characters  for world book day and the money raised helps buy more books for children

We hold Macmillan Coffee Afternoons and raise money selling cakes and coffee

We sing for the elderly at our local sheltered housing project - Pennyman House:

Early Years Children
do a 'sponsored toddle'

We sponsored a butterfly on the wall in the Great North Museum

We do a sponsored read to buy books for school and home

We raise money for world wildlife day in March

We raise money for the RNLI by holding a fish super event with our parents
